Rebecca Schoneveld Cheek graduated from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology where she studied fashion design and tailoring. Upon graduation, she began her career designing for several contemporary labels including Yoana Baraschi, as well as How & Wen, owned by Wen Zhou, now a partner of 3.1 Philip Lim.
While seeking inspiration for a line of her own, she worked as a trend researcher for FashionSnoops.com, which took her across the globe. It was on an extended stay in Southeast Asia where she gained an even larger appreciation for the environment and human beings of all backgrounds and cultures. This journey ignited a passion that led to the first ever eco-friendly seasonal maternity line, Schone Maternity.
After a year long stint in Los Angeles, she and her husband once again call New York City home, but Rebecca gets the best of both worlds, splitting her time between the two coasts.
