OUR FABRICS - Most of the fabrics featured in the collection are either certified organic or are of sustainable origin. When it is impossible to use organic cotton, we use either pre-consumer recycled cotton and/or purchase the materials from a domestic vendor. Sustainable means that the crop the fiber is derived from is farmed without the aide of chemicals and is easily renewable.
Bamboo - We are proud to use bamboo for much of our collection. Bamboo is a fairly new fiber, and has many fabulous natural qualities such as:
-100% Biodegradable
-Pesticide-free
-Wicking
-Super soft
-Antimicrobial
Organic Cotton- Much of the cotton we use is certified organic. A full 25% of the world's pesticides are used in conventional cotton production. These harmful chemicals go straight into our world's water systems, and so directly affect the health our planet. Organic cotton is also noticeably softer and more luxurious than conventional cotton.
Hemp - One of the oldest textiles in human history (worn since 8000BC!), hemp continues to be a truly "green" crop today. It can be grown without the aide of synthetic pesticides, and uses far less land
and water to grow than cotton does. It, too, has antimicrobial and wicking properties, and has also been tested to show that it protects against harmful UV rays and microwave radiation
